Of course, when we see the arrows flying fast and hitting the board in a not always professional way, we scratch our heads that we have forgotten something.

Characteristics of the dart mat

These products are usually 3 meters long. For the vast majority of them, the throwing distance is marked 237 cm, in accordance with the rules, and there is an extra 60 cm space behind the line for the player. Most pieces are made with a painted start line, but there are also integrated or retrofittable versions with a throwing line. The width of the mats is usually 60 cm, but there are also larger models with a width of 80 cm or even more.

Those with a rubber backing and a floor mat material are much lighter and, although they catch most arrows that fall, they do not offer 100% protection. Only thick rubber mats meet this requirement, as they will bounce back without puncturing.
